德国电影人Harun Farocki于7月30日过世，享年70岁。死因尚未公布。Farocki在柏林生活工作了将近40年，一生拍摄了超过100部电视、电影作品。其中大部分探索了政治、科技、视觉艺术之间的关系。

Farocki四部分的系列影片《Ernste Spiele》（“严肃的游戏”，2009-10）目前正在柏林的国家画廊（Nationalgalerie）展出。这部电影纪录了四位海军陆战队队员用电脑游戏科技来在加州的基地中进行训练。该影片之前曾在纽约的MoMA以“战争的图像（远远看去）”的名义进行过个展。今年早些时候，艺术家的《Parallele I-IV》（“平行”，2012-14）曾在巴黎的Thaddaeus Ropac画廊展出；Farocki是画廊第一位特别展出的视频影像艺术家。

Farocki的作品曾无数次地被回顾，影响力巨大。包括2006年维也纳电影博物馆，2004年巴塞罗那当代美术馆，2001年MoMA，1995年巴黎的国家影像美术馆（Galerie nationale du Jeu de Paume），等等。

Farocki同时也是一位作家。他的新书《Against What? Against Whom?》是结合其他批评家文章的专题。Galerie Thaddaeus Ropac的代表说：“他超越时代的作品和对视觉艺术巨大的影响将一直延续下去。”
