裏麵的rituals其實是很發人深思的寫作素材但早期的人類學傢或許已經在這方麵做的很不錯瞭再加上這個society既不primitive也不modern 以至於這本書除瞭它對黑人女性的共享之外過少地被提起我個人對studies of primitive culture以及早期的ethnography都不是很感興趣就不打分瞭吧

有趣的是，在當地文化中純黑人與女性都是鄙視鏈底端，作者以一個美國女性黑人的身份進入當地社會實在是太特殊瞭因為“外國人”而免遭歧視卻又能因長相與性彆獲取親近。順便，這本裏講Voodoo的部分太少瞭… （但是也足夠吸引我對witchcraft culture的興趣瞭）三分之一都不到還有我其實personally對politics沒有很感興趣…
