The battle rages on the grounds of Tsukiomi High, as Rio, Asazuki and Ryouko defend against Kanone! After the first barrage, Kanone leaves Rio and company seriously wounded but still alive. The enemies take shelter in their own respective corners of the school to regroup and strategize, with Kanone still holding Ayumu hostage. With the police unable to step in due to orders from above, a Watcher reveals that Kiyotaka has masterminded the entire battle and hostage situation. Kanone reaches out to his best friend, Eyes, for help, but the cold shoulder he's given sends him to the edge. Intent on going out guns blazing, Kanone tries to manipulate the wounded Ayumu into murdering him, an act which Kiyotaka believes will help his brother 'grow'. Lucky for Ayumu, Madoka has no intention of giving him up so easily...
