aSomethingas wrong with my mom, a I nervously told the 911 operator. The stranger on the other side instructed me to stand outside and wait for the ambulance. For what felt like hours, I stood outside in the frost, and waited for the ambulance and fleet of police cars to arrive. I led a bunch of strangers upstairs to where my mom was lying. A few minutes later a police officer sat me down in the family room. He could tell that I was scared. Kimberly Masi tragically witnessed the death of her mother at the tender age of twelve.
