Awakening to Awe is a self-help meditation on an alternative-and growing-spiritual movement. 施耐德博士在赛布鲁克研究生院、加州理工学院和超个人心理研究所执教，还是《人本主义心理学》杂志的现任主编，美国心理学会(APA)的成员之一。已发表100多篇论文，编著出版了《矛盾的自我》《畏惧与神圣》《存在心理学》《存在一人本主义心理治疗》等8部著作。

2004年，施奈德博士因“对人本主义心理学前沿杰出和独立的追求”被美国心理学会颁予罗洛·梅奖；2009年，获得加拿大多伦多生命学院颁发的文化创新奖：2010年，受邀参加在中国南京举办的首届东西方存在心理学大会，并发表重要演讲。

杨韶刚，在心理学史、存在主义心理学、精神分析等领域是国内最优秀的学者之一，尤其在弗洛伊德精神分析、荣格分析心理学、罗洛·梅存在一人本主义心理学和西方道德心理学研究方面颇有建树。
