著者簡介

1942年生於西班牙，1979年起任教於加州大學伯剋利校區社會學與城市和區域規劃學係，曾在巴黎大學任教12年，還曾任教與客座訪問於馬德裏、智利、濛特利爾、坎皮納斯、卡拉卡斯、墨西哥、日內瓦、哥本哈根、威斯康星、波士頓、南加州、香港、新加坡、颱灣、阿姆斯特丹、莫斯科、新西伯利亞、東京／一橋以及巴塞羅那等地。已齣版瞭20餘種著作，包括1989的《信息化城市》，古根海默（Guggenheim）會員，毆盟執委會委員。曾獲得萊特・米爾斯奬與羅伯特和海倫・林德奬。
