哲學記憶研究的科普書，representative theory & realist theory，然後contemporary approach，前者即眾所熟悉的original sense-impression in the form of memory-images，講瞭Hume，Russel，他們在experience內部找尋（記憶與想象）的差異。比較熟悉所以具體的objections都略讀。Realist Theory簡言之mind's awareness of past things themselves，第三章先講瞭兩個理論相同之處，後舉claim記憶是所發生之導嚮的結果（Stout ？）Ryle，Bergson。。。第四章講記憶的forms，後麵沒有怎麼讀
