这本书是哈佛大学历史学和经济学教授戴维﹒S﹒兰德斯所著的鸿篇巨制。整本书很有斯塔夫里阿诺斯《全球通史》的感觉。而且几乎分析思路都有类似之处：都起始于自然环境，紧接着分析在此基础上的欧洲，进而拓展到其它地区。这也是两本书的共同局限吧，虽是鸿篇巨制，但仍免不了...
