读的是台湾出的中译本，译者黄秀慧。因为没有看到英文本，不知原来的出版社和出书缘由。此书是入门介绍，很适合初读荷马的人。但我比较惊讶的是，许多观点是Homer on life and death那本的浓缩，甚至不少段落也高度相似（甚至相同）。于是心情复杂地比较了一下这位译者的翻译^_^ 提到Satyricon时，译作《百态图》，觉得不错，比音译好。另，此书英文版是80年，台湾人83年就出了这本书的中译。真快啊。
