Natalie Landau, a museum curator with an expertise in Mesopotamian protective amulets and magical beliefs, has received a puzzling gift from her sister Dana - a necklace with a blue evil eye pendant on it. The Evil Eye is a symbol of protection common throughout the world, with a history connecting it to many religions. When Dana is murdered, Natalie begins to think her evil eye amulet had something to do with her sister's death. As she races to discover the origin of the pendant, Natalie is sucked into an international battle between powerful religious factions, each battling for the eye, which turns out to be far more valuable - and far more powerful - than she could ever imagine.

從頭一直追殺到底，有點莫名。 每個埋藏的包袱來不及抖就散瞭，有點可惜。 這麼好的立意和追求，到最後一句保管就over瞭，明明可以有更好的用處不去開發，可能性極小，至少應該會被強製拿來做個科研吧。這樣的和平結局誰信？！
