An unknown painting by Leonardo da
Vinci hangs in the private chapel of a
Polish mansion in September 1939. Dur-
ing a dinner party over four decades
later, the painting is casually mentioned
by name--Last Judgment. An art dealer
begins to wonder.
Is Last Judgment a lost masterpiece,
or the code name of a desperate World
War lI mission, or the horrific plan of a
twisted brain to unleash unthinkable
horror on modern London--or perhaps
all three?
Involved in the dilemma is James
Ross, who was trained in Britain s elite
counterterrorist organization, the SAS.
Demobilized, he returns from Saudi
Arabia to London to face a shock that
shatters him: his brother and his brother s
wife and their children have all been
savagely murdered.
Ross had returned home to find peace.
Instead, he has to attend a funeral and
then use the skills he hoped to abandon
to find the ruthless killer.
