本哈德·施林剋，1944年生。在海德堡及柏林學習法律。1992年起任柏林洪堡大學法學教授，並兼任北萊-威州憲法法官。又是作傢，曾齣版小說多種，其中以《朗讀者》最為著名，是首本登上《紐約時報》暢銷排行冠軍的德國小說。
