Driving out one morning to get the newspaper, Mike Halsey is
dismayed to find that the Redneck Deli is closed. So is the diner.
It is clear that Mike has only one choice left---he drives to the
airport and books himself onto a flight to Japan. What follows is
a confrontation between the American male and the Japanese
mind in a hilarious explosion of culture shock.
This zany, unpredictable adventure is presented by a breezily
deadpan Friedman at his finest and funniest.
