Dec. 1, 1941. It is seven days before the planned Japanese attack the captured German spy Sondegger and wounded American Tom Wall.
Tom's wounds are result of his brother Earl's betryal, in one of the bloodiest massacres of the war so far. And now Tom must pretend to be Earl, to gain Sondegger's confidence and discover what the German knows about the Twenty Committee, a group of German spies turned by the British, and maybe stop the event that, in a week's time, will precipitate America's entry into the war.
