终于才读到十二章的时候大概打算放弃了，就算是社会纪实也是时间空间都遥不可及的。然后放了几天。一次性读完了接下来的部分。后两章才是本书的重头戏吧，大意是关于纯理想化的乌托邦，充满了看似滑稽的必然和忧虑。还有共产主义必然性的说辞并没有说服我。很多观点还是很有想...

更喜欢前半部分对矿工生活的描写。 这是1936年，大英帝国的矿工仍生活在悲惨的境地之中，但不无改善的机会。面临法西斯的威胁，大战迫在眉睫。所以奥威尔在第二部分呼吁社会主义者要摒弃激进的做法，改善自身，秉持公正与自由，避免走向法西斯的相同道路。 尽管他的思想在今天...  

奥威尔探访贫民窟后写成了这本书，应该算是Down and Out in Paris and Lodon的姊妹篇吧。总的来说不推荐，除非是对英国当时的底层社会有兴趣。比起奥威尔的其他作品，这本无论在思想深度还是在描写层面都只能说很一般。但依然有两点让我印象深刻。 在书的上半部分，奥威尔感...
