建议非专业的人士一定要读一读，信息时代了，基本的信息技能是一个合格社会劳动者的基本要求。而这本书是大而全的计算机百科全书，当然都是简单的解释，计算机科学太庞大了，不是一本书可以解释清楚的。很适合非专业人士了解计算机科学。
