From Library Journal The common-law wife of the great Mexican artist Diego Rivera for a decade around World War I， Angelina Beloff bore him a son (who died in infancy) and sacrificed her own talent to his. Rivera eventually returned to Mexico without her， and this slip of a book is an epistolary cri de coeur based on actual letters she sent to him from Paris in 1921-22.
