When I resarched my earlier books about the famous and the infamous , I found many resource in the library that contained some information about famous people --annual almanacs ,books of records who;s whos .sports almanacs ,and the like ---but there wre no books that specialized in comparative data and interesting facting about celebrated people of he past and present. I found this ommission to be surprising , especially since the public has an unending fascinatinon with the lives of famous people and celebrity --oriented TV shows . magazins and newspapers have such large and loyal audiences . Being an editor , writor ,and researcher , however , I reaslize that this was an opportunity rather than a prolbem . Why not publish an almanac of fact about famous people?
