Melvin Adams is in a six year church hiatus and a four year tumultuous relationship with sassy publicist Memory Jones. After his job of six years vindictively eliminates his management position， he comes to the cross-roads in his life and considers changing careers and reopening the sacred line of communication to God. Memory's unfaithfulness serves as the catalyst to his recommitment to his maker. After Melvin establishes the divine relationship， he goes through a fiery gauntlet that purges him of ingrown resentment and ingrained iniquity.
