Whenever I tell people what Ido for a living--teaching others how to become better organized the response is almost invariably，“Boy，
could I use you!”And they are basically right，because everyone can
stand to be better organized．Often that comment is followed by a sigh
and a true confession：“Organizing takes too much time．I just can’t be
bothered．”Other familiar statements I hear are：
-“I don’t know how
-“It’S easier to let things go
-“I have children．”(!)
-“If I get organized．1 won’t be creative anymore．’’
-“My problems are different from those of everyone else fI get more
mail．I have more appointments，responsibilities，etc．)，SO I carl’t get
organized．”
-“Getting organized will be too predictable and boring．’’
While people may befieve these excuses are true，the fact remains
that you probably“won’t be famous if you don’t know where things
are．．．’’
