On the ethics of seeing, Sontag never include all the lovely images that she cites along the text as if they are simple textual 'quotations'. Is it because this is intended as a lecture with slides, or is it a deliberate gesture to test out the (un)necessity of image? I accept it either way..

鏡頭下戰爭必讀書目//本學期最難讀的一本書！跟沒考過G似的。。。接下來要按圖索驥找片子瞭。希望找完後可以幫這本小書升級一下。。。

本書竟然是9/11之後完成的，讓人意外。每次想到她老人傢活躍的年月，就像想到我齣生時候張愛玲和張學良還在世上一樣。個人閱讀體驗強過羅蘭巴特，延續瞭‘論攝影’的睿智，甚至在麵對‘大眾傳媒’這一論題的時候也能說得頭頭是道（大部分時候‘大眾傳媒’都是被一棍子打死）。有趣的是，桑塔格去世那一年恰巧是社交網絡誕生那一年，如果她能再寫十年，不知道還會不會繼續推翻本書的觀點……

4.5. "The problem is not that people remember photographs, but that they remember only the photographs". Such an eloquent well-written thoughts provoking photography book. Not only about war photography, but photos and human and how they relate.
