Lianna is a young, attractive executive of one of the largest medical companies in the world. She is also pregnant and missing. The police discover that her fiance was the beneficiary of a new insurance policy, that they had quarrelled and that the baby wasn't his. The police have their man. Deets Shanahan agrees to work for the beleaguered boyfriend. Then her car turns up at the airport. Lianna had boarded a jet for San Francisco with a ticket paid for with her charge card, according to airline officials. With security being what it is, it had to be her, didn't it? Shanahan and his live-in girlfriend Maureen fly to the City by the Bay to find their missing person. Another private investigator travels with them. He has his own missing person to find - an exotic dancer. One missing person leads to another and to some particularly high-tech hanky panky.
