作者简介
理查德•福提（Richard Fortey）
剑桥大学教授，英国皇家学会会员，英国自然历史博物馆古生物学专家。发表学术论文250余篇，其著作《隐藏的风景》获得世界自然图书奖。
曾担任英国广播公司（BBC）的嘉宾主持，拍摄多部纪录片。由于这些在公众科学上的杰出贡献，2013年，福提被授予刘易斯•托马斯科学作家奖，2006年，获迈克尔•法拉第科学贡献奖。2016年，福提获得英国古生物学会的终身成就奖。
