著者簡介

詹姆斯·卡卡裏奧斯（James Kakalios）

明尼蘇達州立大學教授，從1988年起，就在物理與天文學院任教，他的課“看漫畫學科學”在新生討論會上頗受歡迎。1985年，他拿到瞭芝加哥大學的博士學位。作為一名漫畫迷，他看漫畫的時間就更長瞭。另外，本書還被譯為德語、意大利語、西班牙語以及韓語等多國語言廣泛發行。　現在，他和妻子以及三個孩子住在明尼阿波裏斯市。另著有《量子力學的神奇故事》。

James Kakalios他成功地把握住瞭那個微妙的度：讀者想看的是特權和超能力，是可以聊以意淫的趣味，是深入淺齣的科學風味的談資，而不是無聊的學校課本。James一上來就承認瞭自己的漫畫宅男身份用以拉近距離，然後在行文中頻繁地迴歸漫畫本身，從不脫離讀者；甚至在他指齣漫畫中的學術性錯誤的時候（這個行為本身就超宅），他都以理解體諒的筆觸幽默地敘述，從不居高臨下。（勿轉）
