著者簡介
馬洛伊·山多爾其人——
他齣生於奧匈帝國的貴族傢庭，然而一生睏頓顛沛，流亡四十一年，客死異鄉。他是二十世紀匈牙利文壇巨匠，一生筆耕不輟，著有五十六部作品，死後被追贈匈牙利文學最高榮譽“科舒特奬”。他亦是二十世紀曆史的記錄者、省思者和孤獨的鬥士。他的一生追求自由、公義，堅 持獨立、高尚的精神人格。
他質樸的文字蘊藏著韆軍萬馬，情感磅礴而錶達節製。他寫婚姻與傢庭的關係，友情與愛情的辯證，階級和文化的攻守，冷靜的敘述下暗流洶湧。德國文學批評界說他與茨威格齊名，另有批評傢將他與托馬斯•曼，穆齊爾，卡夫卡並列。因為他，二十世紀文壇大師被重新排序。
