这是我看的这个系列最后一本，感觉故事性更强，没那么跳跃，更好读了。这本里面也有忘年交，也有政治性，但感觉语气更温和点

像是于圣诞之际偶然齐聚的一家人（加一个陌生人）的一场围炉夜谈虽然大多数对话发生于他们追忆各自的往昔的其他圣诞节、冬至、夏日。叙述零散但渐入佳境属于越读越心仪的那种。圣诞颂歌的变奏曲社会虽渐渐溃败但人与人尚能和解莎士比亚的诗意虽然只能从隐约的玫瑰花标本轮廓中寻获。比起当年看hotel world的崩溃这本书多么平和。
