MARC GOODMAN has spent a career in law enforcement and technology. He has served as a street police officer, senior adviser to Interpol and futurist-in-residence with the FBI. As the founder of the Future Crimes Institute and the Chair for Policy, Law, and Ethics at Silicon Valley’s Singularity University, he continues to investigate the intriguing and often terrifying intersection of science and security, uncovering nascent threats and combating the darker sides of technology.

评分因为部分内容的关系，这本书恐怕没法出简体中文译本，但大陆读者显然最需要它。You are not the customer, you are the product，作者认为免费服务-搜集数据-广告盈利的商业模式是信息泄露的根源，也是互联网巨头们的原罪，但显然没有回头路，政策上努力亡羊补牢才最要紧。千奇百怪的犯罪实例很开眼界，但最后一部分神经科学相关部分在我看来还是有些夸张了，于是也影响到我对前面内容的信任。这本书提醒了，互联网和开源文化固然很democratizing，但也有其潜在危险，当然，或许根源还在于这个行业的meritocracy传统，让少数人可以拥有轻易危害多数人的能力。

评分網絡安全問題其實已變成了老生常談，但作者對於議題熟悉的程度，舉的所有例證，以至內容組織及鋪排也非常出色。整本書尤如科幻小說，建立一個宏大的網絡犯罪世界觀，真實的事件創意程度高得可怕。美中不足的是接近尾聲時部份內容重覆；而對於未來的建議很淺白，應更深入的探討。書有點貴，不想買，所以連續幾天也出了書局看，厚度達五百多頁但沒有停的意欲，用四天完成了。（看的是中文翻譯本，但豆瓣沒收錄所以來這裡寫。）
