作者简介

Christine Bresnahan, LPIC-1, started working with computers more than 25 years ago in the IT industry as a system administrator. Christine is an Adjunct Professor at Ivy Tech Community College. She teaches Linux Essentials, LPIC-1/CompTIA Linux+ certification, and Python programming classes. 以前看过一本Shell的书，看完了之后没留下东西。我觉得这本书内容组织得比较好，看了之后思路比较清晰。本书从最基本的讲起，shell高手就不用看了。学习shell很重要的一点需要应用，这方面我需要加强。

1：不觉得这本书适合入门，多数人评价这本书适合入门的原因是它不涉及到具体原理。可是你要怎么去和linux入门的新手解释trap,nohup,还有init目录分级，都是一带而过，更没讲什么是信号，直接就开始用。要想看原理的话去看csapp第八章，去看Apue，去看深入理解linux内核架构。命...

涵盖了初、中级的内容，算得上是市面上同类书籍中最好的了。比它讲得好的，没它内容全面；比它全面的，没它讲得好。其中不足之处就是正则表达式一章中，有些用词实在混乱，一会“正则表达式模式”，一会“文本模式”，初学者不晕菜才怪。另外关于字符串操作部分讲得很少，不少重要的运算符都没有讲。关于shell是如何处理命令行的也没有讲（这方面的知识能帮你避免很多的坑，感兴趣的去看learning bash shell吧）。中文版估计9月份能出来。
