I always have a peculiar interest in the social aspect of science and medicine. This book leads me to think about the roles of the very concept of "self" in immunology. I appreciate how Eula Biss shares her personal journey of becoming a mother, while some may find it digression. However, I agree that the contents could be more coherent.

挺不错的。我没把这本书当做科普读物看，因为它根本不是来告诉别人具体知识的，它是在帮人树立正确的态度——全面、理性地看待免疫这个问题，避免偏激和恐慌。

太散了，没有特别eloquent的段落……视角是难得的，反思了知识的生产与传播，但还是感觉没有说到点子上。得让医学人类学的人来讲，而不是一个记者

not a well-structured book, bits of useful information here and there, entangled with emotionnal recounts of early motherhood

一开始读的时候还以为是讲免疫力的科学原理的，读着读着才发现太软了，就是针对疫苗恐慌的科普书，我根本不属于这本书的目标群体，读来无趣（开头除外）。
