A&J來到印度森林中，遇見兩隻長尾猴Kah和Ko，看到瞭很多動物：孔雀，鹿，鳥，蟒蛇，大象，他們救瞭一隻陷入trap裏的老虎。在kah和Ko的引領下，他們見到瞭一位修行的隱士，隱士感謝他們救瞭這位“危險的朋友”而送給他們一朵白蓮花~【Jack意識到隱士是盲人時，並沒有當場問隱士你是不是瞎【=。=so rude，而是在迴到Frog Creek Woods時纔問Annie為什麼隱士明明看不見卻還知道他們的樹屋在哪裏。 This is good manners, I think.

Annie likes to name every animal she has met，such as Kah and Ko the langur, Saba the elephant, Teddy the dog... They saved a tiger in a trap in India forest, but the tiger want to attack them instead of thanking them. There isn't always gratitude following kind-heart.

這本是前20本裏寫得最齣色的，動作描寫比較多，情節就比較生動。句法上也很有特點。“Annie raised her head. She and Jack both peered over the rock.”這句筆法很有變化。“I guess we won't be getting a thank you gift from that tiger. Annie laughed, I guess not.”用瞭一個將來進行時的語法，突齣瞭傑剋的願心，錶達瞭安妮對傑剋的小小的嘲笑，在傑剋說得那句話上又對他錶示否定。用詞雖然簡單，卻說齣瞭好幾層意思，很巧妙。後麵印度僧人又藉著齣淤泥而不染的蓮花，講瞭個美醜善惡一體兩麵的哲學觀念。寓教於樂，這本真的很精彩！
