The students of Lynnhurst Elementary love their principal, Mr. Tanen -- and his ties He has holiday ties, ties that light up and play music, and ties for rainy days. And on Frankfurter Friday he wears his Hot Dog Tie. If he gets mustard on it, no one can tell.But Mr. Apple from the school office does not love Mr. Tanen's ties. He insists that Mr. Tanen wear only blue ties from now on. After all, education is a serious business When Mr. Tanen calls in sick with "the blues, " the humorless Mr. Apple substitutes. The students are miserable -- until they give Mr. Apple a tie of his very own. Much to ins amazement, Mr. Apple's new tie brings him some unexpected and welcomed changes.
