雖然英國戲劇所謂的喜劇和悲劇，我從不認為它的意思是使人發笑或傷心流淚。 但本篇做到瞭笑到肚子疼卻絕不低俗，甚至還有點哲學意味。 不過唯一的問題是，我想起西方許多書裏描寫瞭太多的一見鍾情，那必須是基於臉的。我完全找不到體驗和共鳴，因為現在想要初逢似夢黯魂銷，恐怕隻有是那些著華服上濃妝整瞭容又修瞭片的明星使人産生這種衝動，可是吧你若真是一見鍾情真心愛上瞭某個明星，任誰都會認為這是不摺不扣的大傻瓜。 (⌒▽⌒)還真是難啊
评分《屈身求愛》。Goldsmith的劇畫麵感更強，比Congreve的好讀。
评分Just like Dr. Goldsmith said in the Epilogue of this play, "Our life is all a play, composed to please," this masterpiece, for its well-constructed plot and witty wording, is as eye-catching as Bernard Shaw in his Pygmalion. Indeed, such carefully-designed conversations full of literary devices and humorous effects are rarely seen in modern times.
