评分一本不错的亚裔历史入门。看完这本书，可以理解为什么亚裔美国人批判新移民（2000年后）和亚裔政客为什么会为完全损害亚裔的法案背书。 因为历史的原因，早期的亚裔移民对自己的本民族的文化都不自信。Helen的父母坚持不在小孩面前说中文，因为担心影响他们的英文。孤独的时候，helen的父亲在背诵古诗但是作者完全不能理解古诗的韵律美。看到这里，内心会有些难受。
