The problem with popular diets is they are not nutritionally sound. The Dakota Diet is different. The foods that the Plains Indians hunted and gathered were rich in health omega-3 fatty acids, nutrient dense low-calorie foods, and the meat in the Dakota Diet is from animals allowed to graze on grasses, resulting in less fat and fewer calories than meat from grain-fed animals.
