The International Yearbook of Library and Information Management is a newly commissioned thematic, refereed annual covering emerging trends, best practice, and future scenarios in the broad field of library science and information management. The inaugural volume of this authoritative new publication provides a timely and forward-looking focus on the theme of collection management. This broad subject area will be examined from a variety of perspectives including a narrative bibliography on the topic supported by a range of 18 historical, analytical, evaluative and provocative essays that tell us where we have been, where we are, and where we seem to be going.
