奠定瞭當代奇幻藝術基礎的大師。新古典主義插畫的裏程碑

多雷果然是插畫界最大的神，不僅質量高而且異常的高産。他是全部采用用鎸刻法來作畫的嗎？難以置信。《聖經》插畫應該是最有他風格的作品，人物身材普遍峻拔瘦削、構圖結實莊重，有很強的宿命感。

一些人物近景的插圖感覺有一些水分，但是對舊約中有關戰爭的、以及啓示錄中有關天國的宏大圖景的描畫的確是文藝復興之後的巔峰。
