书本身就不用介绍了。 初看的时候，我很不喜欢书中字里行间的专栏味，就是拉拉扯扯，絮絮叨叨。不停地扯到自己的私事，扯到自己的母亲，自己的工作，自己的儿子。让人觉得很烦。 而且作者对这些经典的赞颂让人觉得很没底气。说得严重地点，作者像个小丑，甚至老鸨，在苦口婆...

哥伦比亚大学的通识教育课，作者在毕业几十年后返回大学重修 正是要在信息膨胀的年代，重新建筑牢固人文堤坝，防止思想仅仅被媒体左右 幸运发现，应星先生在南方周末上的暑假推荐五本书的文章--其中就包含这本。 尽管距离文章发表已经有一年多的时间，不过读好书，什么时候都不晚
