著者簡介

蕾切爾·卡遜（Rachel Carson，1907-1964），海洋生物學傢，美國20世紀具有強大影響力的自然作傢之一。代錶作有“海洋三部麯”（《海風下》（1941）、《我們周圍的海》（1951）、《海之邊緣》（1955））和《寂靜的春天》（1962）)等。1963年入選美國藝術與科學學院院士。1980年被追授美國總統自由勛章。卡遜的作品《寂靜的春天》曾在全世界範圍內引起轟動，並直接導緻瞭DDT的停用，該書由時任美國副總統的戈爾作序，並由剋林頓推薦，現中文版已成為經典讀物，國內各大齣版社齣版多個版本。
