Stanley Yelnat's family has a history of bad luck going back generations, so he is not too surprised when a miscarriage of justice sends him to Camp Green Lake Juvenile Detention Centre. Nor is he very surprised when he is told that his daily labour at the camp is to dig a hole, five foot wide by five foot deep, and report anything that he finds in that hole. The warden claims that it is character building, but this is a lie and Stanley must dig up the truth. 评分也許這本書的主要讀者群是青少年兒童，但我實在要說一句，這本書的精彩程度可不只是兒童水平喔！！ 整本書一直運用過去與現在交錯的手法，但讀者卻不會覺得混亂。全書的主題如此荒誕離奇，卻用帶著黑色幽默的寫實主義筆觸來成就，兩者之間居然能夠在作者手裡產生如此微妙的化...

看了过后觉得简直这就是命运啊
评分很难定义这是一个什么性质的故事，一开始我还以为是科幻故事，看着看着以为是西部牛仔故事，中间还穿插着两个美好的爱情故事，看到最后知道这是一个自我肯定的励志故事，看我介绍就知道这故事很好看啦！相比下来，我们就弱爆了，西方小孩就看这种故事了！
