像這樣兩百年前的風俗喜劇，至今讀起來還能讓人發笑，真是不容易瞭。我猜當年Dryden大贊Congreve，認為後者完全可以和莎翁比肩，肯定是因為看劇看得很開心呐。但實際上對於後者而言，公演時間最長的還是Love for Love，因為The Way of the World情節相對復雜，語言也很饒舌，諷刺還更隱秘。
