重讀，總之就是對ancient economy持primitive觀點的，認為古希臘羅馬無現代“經濟“的概念，就算有commercial activities, 包括會涉及interest的，也不是為瞭和現在一樣投資盈利更幾乎不受保護（除upper class），還不被當時的ethos接受……等等。Slavery一章中和labour的關係之前沒重視，這次竟然覺得格外有意思。其他觀點在後來的各種文獻中都多有提及，或反駁或反駁……不一一贅述瞭。
