心理描寫非常細膩，語言精緻，情節狗血。喜歡Michael和Nick、Toby之間的故事，有些橋段太唯美瞭。

When one was so favoured it was not difficult to be good. But things have been so bad that something drastic and imaginative should be done to turn it around.

Nick好可惜，以及故事真的很離奇瞭. We are all responsible for the choices we made.

也許是因為開始讀這本書的時候我需要ease in並且適應各種宗教相關的詞匯和描寫，覺得整個書的前半部分沒有什麼故事情節，plots, turns, events基本都被擠進瞭後半本，並且覺得結尾非常的倉促，趕緊交代完事兒我趕緊下班兒的感覺。讀的時候很慶幸自己沒有在青春期經曆對sexuality的思考，躲開瞭frustration，並且之後想通得挺順利的，然後在適婚適育年齡進入瞭完全不覺得婚姻戀愛是人生大事的階段。喜歡Michael形容自己對Nick的感情的時候說的I'm not afraid of suffering too much, I'm afraid of suffering too little, or not in the right way。是啊，希望和你的苦難在一起。
