故事不錯作者的文筆一般

感恩節假期晚上看完仿佛自己和故事一樣老瞭一百年。敘事結構精妙，雖然有的時候時間流逝有點倉促，但是的確用人的故事跨越瞭一百年三地…Arjun的死彆，Dinu &Alison的生離，迴印度的充滿泥濘的路，和永遠的Rangoon…感覺自己緩不過來瞭。

too ambitious, too many characters that I don't identify with any, too eager bring in historical events. interesting multicultural family and mobility in se asia. "a developing awareness of the aspirations, defeats and disappointments of colonized peoples as they figure out their place in the world."
