评分柯南道尔的一个短篇探险小故事，情节并不复杂，读英文原版读了小两个月吧。文中不少古英语和专业性很强的生僻生物学词语，略显晦涩，但对理解内容并无大碍。柯南道尔生动的想象力为读者描述出一个神奇的世界，失落的世界。在人类文明衣冠楚楚的高级知识分子在这片土地经历了惊心动魄的探险。有惊喜，有惊吓，有沦陷，有征服，不管怎样，都是一段让人铭记终身的神奇经历。有时候眼见不一定为实，耳听也不一定为虚，唯有亲身经历探索，才能接近事实本质。
