作者還是喜歡在情節上設置很多巧閤，Michael和Mona這對昔日的死黨在美國失去聯係，要到英國重拾友誼；還有Brian和Marry Ann無法獲得孩子，最後卻意外獲得朋友贈與的孩子。Barbary Lane這個大傢庭的故事還在繼續，我也要在6月可以親自去舊金山探訪真正的Barbary Lane。
