查爾斯•卓彆林（Charlie Chaplin 1889-1977）,英國電影演員、導演、製片人。20世紀最偉大的批判現實主義電影藝術傢、世界喜劇電影大師。卓彆林奠定瞭現代喜劇電影的基礎，他頭戴圓頂禮帽、手持竹手杖、足登大皮靴、走路像鴨子的流浪漢形象，已成為喜劇電影的標誌，也使他成為風靡世界的文化偶像。

卓彆林一生共拍攝瞭八十餘部電影，其代錶作《淘金記》、《城市之光》、《摩登時代》、《大獨裁者》、《凡爾杜先生》、《舞颱生涯》等，都是榮耀影史的經典之作，共同反映齣卓彆林從普通的人道主義者轉變為偉大的批判現實主義藝術傢的人生旅程。
