相比之前一本Lisa See的Shanghai Girls，这本书对民国时候的天津上海的描写靠谱多了。挺精彩的个人自传，但是每个章节配的中文题目，实在是词不达意，甚至牛头不对马嘴。有没有中英文水平相当的作者啊。

看了两遍，我本身也很好奇那个旧时代的人怎么生活，这本书给我一种穿越时空的感觉。adeline很励志，但不是所有人都像她一样聪明可以靠自己智慧打拼。很羡慕这样的女人。看的是英文版，好奇有没有中文版，书中有些情节还是对communist蛮负面的。
