感觉上Irving用这本书假公济私的发泄了自己作为作家的好多怨气，里面对现场签名，朗读还有关于读者和记者采访的描写和评论一针见血。看了书后的访谈这种感觉更强烈。看他的小说总会觉得依依不舍，好像读完了就从此失去了那些人物的消息。所以其实在开始读他下一本书之前要下一番决心，要做好合上书之后那种怅然若失的准备。不过并没有觉得Irving是什么“大神”级别的作家，他只是特别会讲故事。可能正是因为这样，才特别喜欢看他的书。而且，这本书里居然没有熊出现。
