壓抑。這本書的噱頭就是海明威描寫他自己抑鬱的好像。看的過程簡直是痛苦、不舒服。首先一個老頭兒和一個小女孩兒的愛情故事就很讓人不舒服。加上兩人相處的時候老頭兒叫女孩兒：女兒；女孩兒叫老頭兒：爹爹。雞皮疙瘩。。。

不知道是怎么原因，海明威的这部小说未被人知。 过河入林，喜欢这个题目，很有象征意味，小说很多是对战争的思考，其实，他也是一部描写精妙的爱情小说，是那种灵与肉交融的爱情，傍晚黄昏，微有冷意，相拥河上，静听桨声—— 喜欢老版的封面，只是里面文字印刷粗糙...

过河入林。 已经是他晚期的一部长篇小说，有了无法冷静的、却无法倾诉的激情，关于太多无法忘却的纪念，夹杂着大段大段飘渺的思绪。他写年老的上校，重游他曾经作战负伤的意大利城市，那些都是美好宁静的地方。托切洛曾经的圣马可广场，很远就可辨认的布拉诺漂亮钟楼，穆拉诺...
