貌似是魔兽小说第9部，从萨尔的父亲杜隆坦含冤而死开始写起，小时候的萨尔给我的感觉是挺可爱的学习人类的语言，行为方式，还热爱艺术……长大了他不像其他兽人一样，他懂得宽容，也许还懂得爱，那种爱是很广义，他和特瑞莎之间的爱有亲情、友情、甚至爱情……这段感情的描述在...

魔兽系列的6本书（仇恨之轮就算了吧）似乎在这里的批评声音比较多，必尽这是我们很喜欢的故事，但是... 就《氏族之王》来说，我觉得也是被糟蹋了的... 有上古三部曲的时候，还没有网游，感觉作者还有耐心多铺设一些伏笔和故事线之类的。中文翻译水平太差不能怪作者了。最后的守...

可能是因为主要是写萨尔的成长，焦点较为集中，所以不像上古那三本（人物太多事件太多场景变化也多）完全流水账一路拖下来，这本好歹有了一点血肉。
